  • Designer: Peter Bowles, 2020

Instantly comfortable and unassumingly elegant, Original BTC designs and manufactures relaxed, familiar lighting for domestic and contract interiors. Quality, mix of materials and detail is key. The comprehensive catalogue includes utilitarian, statement and stripped back designs, united by a focus on longevity, craft and a passion for pushing the boundaries of production.

The classic Hector was updated for AMEICO's 30th Anniversary with beautiful satin brass metal work that compliments the bone china, adding a further touch of warmth to the Hector range. Available as a table, floor light and wall light (with and without a switch) with grey braided cable.

  • Production Process

The bone china piece is manufactured according to traditional methods by a highly skilled team in Stoke-on-Trent, where now only a handful of ceramic factories exist. The process begins with a slip (clay and water mix) being poured into molds. Once set, the molds are split and the shade, base or ceiling rose is removed and left overnight to dry before being sponged and fettled to remove any imperfections. The items are finally biscuit fired or dipped in a glaze and gloss-fired for a natural white finish.
